Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AlignMate mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). AlignMate is operated by Seyed Arash Seyed Sammak (Spain). By using AlignMate, you agree to these Terms.

  1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using AlignMate, you represent that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you access the Service from a jurisdiction with different minimum age requirements, you are responsible for complying with applicable local laws.

  1. Account Registration and Security

To use AlignMate, you must create an account using a valid email address with secure OTP login. You are responsible for maintaining account security and all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You may maintain only one account.

  1. Description of the Service

AlignMate is a behavioral productivity platform for creating and tracking goals, managing tasks, tracking progress and streaks, customizing avatars, communicating with matched teammates, and using optional AI-powered assistance. We may modify, improve, or discontinue features at any time and do not guarantee specific features will always be available.

Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers (Firebase, OpenAI, Mailgun), teammates (if messaging), legal authorities when required, or in business transfers.

Legal Bases (GDPR)

For EU/EEA/UK users, processing is based on contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security and improvement), and consent (optional features like notifications and AI).

We may update this policy and will notify users of material changes.

Messaging and Community Safety

If you use messaging features, your content is delivered to recipients. We provide reporting and blocking tools and may review content only when necessary for safety, abuse investigation, or legal compliance.

AI Features

We use the OpenAI API to generate optional AI suggestions. We process only the text you submit. We do not intentionally send direct identifiers unless you include them.

International Transfers

Data is primarily hosted in the EU. Some providers may process data outside your country using appropriate safeguards.

Data Retention

We retain personal data as long as necessary to provide the Service. Account data is retained until deletion. Some logs, backups, and diagnostic data may persist temporarily.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account in-app or via alignmateapp.com/deleteaccount-request. Data will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe.

Your Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your data by contacting privacy@alignmateapp.com.

Children's Privacy

AlignMate is not intended for users under 16. If we discover such data, we will delete it.
