This Privacy Policy explains how AlignMate ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the AlignMate mobile application (the "App") and related services (the "Service"). AlignMate is published and operated by an individual developer.

Information We Collect
We collect information you provide (account email, profile info, goals, tasks, teammate messages, AI inputs), information collected automatically (device info, analytics, crash logs), and information generated internally (display names, streaks, match metadata). We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location, contacts, or payment card details.

We may use the information we collect from you for various purposes, including:

Personalizing your experience on our app

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers (Firebase, OpenAI, Mailgun), teammates (if messaging), legal authorities when required, or in business transfers.

Messaging and Community Safety
If you use messaging features, your content is delivered to recipients. We provide reporting and blocking tools and may review content only when necessary for safety, abuse investigation, or legal compliance.
AI Features
We use the OpenAI API to generate optional AI suggestions. We process only the text you submit. We do not intentionally send direct identifiers unless you include them.
International Transfers
Data is primarily hosted in the EU. Some providers may process data outside your country using appropriate safeguards.
Data Retention
We retain personal data as long as necessary to provide the Service. Account data is retained until deletion. Some logs, backups, and diagnostic data may persist temporarily.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account in-app or via alignmateapp.com/deleteaccount-request. Data will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe.
Your Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your data by contacting privacy@alignmateapp.com.
Children's Privacy
AlignMate is not intended for users under 16. If we discover such data, we will delete it.
